Any paddlers that like to hit the surf? I'll be kayak surfing down @ Higgins if anyone's interested. :)

we like to do the Saco river. We usually put in at Swan falls in fryeburg. There are different points you can pull out at depending on how far you want to go.

My wife and I recently bought kayaks and are looking for rivers\streams we can put in and more or less float (not tooo much paddling) and take out at one of our vehicles. Any ideas?

Megan and I used to live in Boothbay, frequently kayaked all around the peninsula and know the tour operators. There are many great day tours as well as overnight opportunities, camping on local islands. It's close, it's fun and for the new comers to the sport it's a great place to learn.

That would be fun! Let me know about the cost and the date and I'll try to make it!

Hey all - so Adam and I were talking about maybe putting together a kayak tour in Boothbay Harbor. It's only a little over an hour north of Portland if you've never been. I spend quite a bit of time up there in the summer and I did a tour through a company up there last year and it was great! Lots of great places to swim and BBQ before or after as well! The kayak company will supply everything you need to get out on the water for those of us that don't have our own kayak. Anyone interested?

Hi Dan
I would like to organize a basic Kayak safety course at my camp in Denmark. Maybe a Saturday in June? Would you be available to help teach. I could use a refresher!
