PortSports has teamed up with Lindsay Mattingly to offer a
Ladies Booty Boot Camp for a Cure. Half of the proceeds will be donated to the Women's Breast Cancer Society. So not only will you be making changes to your life, but you make a difference in someone else's life!
About the Instructor
Lindsay is a Certified Fitness Trainer through International Sports and Sciences Association (ISSA) and is CPR/AED Certified. She also have a BA in Psychology and a Minor in Dance, and is currently working on her Sports Conditioning Certification through ISSA. Lindsay has 4 years of exeperience in the fitness industry: she taught bootcamps in Fort Wayne, IN ; was a Personal Trainer at Pivotal Fitness in South Carolina; was an Independant Personal Trainer out of her home in South Carolina; and is currently teaching Adult Conditioning in the mornings at Parisi Speed School.
When will the classes be?
Classes are 3 times a week.
Tuesdays 5:30am -6:30am, Thursdays 5:30am - 6:30am, and Sundays 10am - 11am
The first class will be Sunday October 4, at 10AM.
This session will run for 4 weeks.
Where are the classes located?
Changing location is key to tricking your body so it can't adapt. The Tuesday and Thursday Sessions will be in the same central location so that you can get to work on time but the Sunday locations will change from week to week. From meeting at the instructors house to challenging yourself at Higgin's Beach.
What will the class include?
During the workouts you will work on flexibility, fat loss, hypertrophy (muscle building), and conditioning. They will be full body workouts with minimal rests. This will help burn fat and increase conditioning.
Do I need any equipment?
Lindsay will provide the training and any fun gadgets you will need. All you need to provide is a yoga mat and 5-10lb weights.
Cost
The cost will be $12 a class.
The session includes 12 classes so the total cost for the session is $144 with 1/2 of your fee being donated to the Women's Breast Cancer Society.
What can I expect?
As the time nears, Lindsay will schedule times to meet up with everyone individually to go over the benefits of exercise and proper nutrition. You will also measure and weigh before the boot camp and after the boot camp to reflect your success! Lindsay will have everyone keep a food journal. There will be homework! Everyone will need to bring a journal each week so you and Lindsay can reflect what you're taking in.
